Biography

A physicist by training, André Roland has more than 30 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. He started working as an examiner at the European Patent Office (Berlin) and then became the Manager of an IP department of a pharmaceuticals company.

In 1998, he founded the ANDRE ROLAND IP Firm, which he still manages today.

Since 2011, he also acts as Deputy Judge at the Patent Federal Court.

In addition to managing the firm, he dedicates an important part of his time to strategic consulting, to the technical and legal assessment of intangible assets, and to the development of tools designed for the protection of our clients’ innovations and designs. His core activity is in the patent field as well as in the trademarks, designs and plant breeding sectors.
